Lip Exfoliation

My lips have been super dry lately and no matter how much lip balm I put on, they weren’t as smooth as I wanted them to be. I am trying to get my lips perfect for an upcoming wedding so I can pull off the nude lip look without making my lips look super chalky.

For the past 2 evenings I have used the same regime and now my lips are so smooth and they’re naturally tinted as well.

• Use a lip balm stick (like LipSmackers, I used watermelon…yummy) and make sure you keep this lip balm specifically for the treatment
• Sugar (1 tsp)
• Keep some tissues handy (this is going to get a bit messy)
• Conditioning lip balm (I used Blistex lip conditioner…the white one)

Take the lip balm and expose some of the balm. Dip the balm into the sugar to coat it and rub it on your lips in a circular motion, covering both the top and bottom lips. You’re going to see that the lip balm and the sugar are mixing and coming off the stick, you can wipe them away with a tissue, but I take the tissue and blend more into my lips with the mixture, you can get it in really deep and pin point the areas (mine are dry in the middle). When you’re achieved the texture you want, cover your lips with the conditioning lip balm to seal in the moisture and to let your lips heal.

This is best before you go to bed, so the conditioning lip balm can sit on your lips without being disturbed from eating, drinking, talking etc, and really work its magic.

Come back soon for more ideas tested by yours truly.
